saturday morning

Saturday afternoon with Dar-Wei Chen (& Carolyn Levitan)

This week, my usually long early Saturday morning session was a super-quick Saturday afternoon session, abbreviated by poor weather. My roommate, Carolyn, came with me to meet my old friend from high school, Dar-Wei Chen. Dar-Wei recently reached out to me after seeing some of my blog posts and volunteered to be featured on my blog. Dar-Wei is currently ending his second year of a six year doctorate program at Georgia Tech.

He's awesome, very kind, and crazy smart. Dar-Wei is also incredibly humble, so he'd never tell you that, but it's true. And as Carolyn and I got to witness firsthand, he's pretty slick with a deck of cards.

So, here are the few photos I got from our short Saturday afternoon session with an old friend and my roommate.

Saturday morning with Justin Leef

After my first Saturday morning session last week with Jenna, I thought I'd start a new project for myself. My project is simply to have structured practice for portrait photography (and getting up earlier on Saturdays -- that's a joke. Kind of/not really) so I'm trying to arrange shoots for every Saturday morning until my 23rd birthday.

My birthday is July 30th. That's a lot of Saturdays.

So, if any of you out there reading this are in the Atlanta area, email or text me if you're at all interested in any of the following: having your face on my blog, getting free portraits done, or getting up early and sharing coffee with me while I try to make you laugh.

Now, let me introduce you to Justin Leef, my sweet boyfriend. He is currently ending his first year in law school at Georgia State, is passionate about making others happy, and is always pushing me to challenge myself.  This guy let me come to his house at 6 am to wake him up on a Saturday, drag him out of bed and put him in front of a camera, up at the Chattahoochee River Trail. These are some of the photos that I took.
