In 1969, Rod Hall and Larry Minor drove a Ford Bronco to win at the Baja 1000 in Mexico - a 1000 mile race that remains one of the most challenging desert competitions out there. In November 2019, Ford unveiled the Bronco R racing prototype, modeled after its famed predecessor to drive at Baja once again. This was the first time the world saw any official prototype to hint at the design for the new Bronco model.
