Felix's First Year

I met Berto Oliveira in high school, when we were both on the rowing team at Winter Park High. This guy is absolutely hilarious. One of my earliest (and fondest) memories of Berto was him dressed up in a full cow suit down at the boathouse, udders included. Case and point.

Not only that, but he has always been a loving, all-around nice guy who can be fast friends with anyone. Everyone loves Berto.

So, when he messaged me asking if he could schedule a photoshoot to celebrate his son's first birthday, I was beyond pumped. Not only had I not seen Berto since approximately 2009, but I hadn't met his beautiful wife, Lillie, or his cute little nugget, Felix! This day was sure to be special to me.  I know that Lillie and Berto are so proud of this sweet, silly little man they are doing such a wonderful job at raising and loving. So, here is a little peek at the photos from that day.

What a beautiful family! Thank you, Berto & Lillie!

Double vision

In an effort to get more pretty prints on my walls in my apartment, I've been exploring double exposure edits with some of my shots. Slightly haunting and eery. Nonetheless, still beautiful.

My best friend and photo muse, Morgan, reminded me that about a year ago I made this mix for her. So I'm sharing it with you all! Happy summer.

Saturday morning session: Bob + Betsy

It's back! My latest Saturday morning session from this past weekend down in Winter Park, Florida is up on my portfolio. This time, it's featuring Bob and Betsy McClelland, also known as: my parents.

I've been wanting to photograph them for a long time now. My love of photography blossomed when I was in college, and during that four year period, I wasn't home very much. And, when I was home, I was typically catching up with my friends. Since I had a spare moment to breathe on Saturday morning before a wedding, I wanted to spend that time with my parents.

My parents are incredible people, individually and as a unit. They are the definition of commitment. Through it all, they support each other and refuse to give up. I admire them for their unwavering love for each other, God, and my brother and I. I hope someday I will blessed to find someone as committed to me as they are to each other! I love you Mom & Dad. Thanks for supporting me when I'm chasing my dreams, even when I'm sometimes unrealistic. You rock.
